Grandfather Albin Otto Gläsel
and father Otto Gläsel

The Gläsel family belongs to one of the oldest German violin making families.

The master craft has been handed down from generation to generation since the 17th century.

After their apprenticeship Gundula and Thomas Gläsel journeyed through many distinguished workshops in Germany and America for 12 years where they gained experience in the reparation and restoration of valuable old instruments.

Today, this experience enables them to repair and build master instruments to the justly high demands required.
